Certificate instalation

Here are the step by step instructions for Windows
(Computer & TV), Mac, & Linux -      Chromebook should update
automatically
Step 1 - Click on this link -   link to the Securly website 
Step 2 - This page will come up.  Find this table:
Step 3 - Find the operating system you use and click on the blue link.  A file will ask for
permission to download onto your computer. You will see a permission window open up
at the bottom of your screen like the image below.  Click “Keep” 
Step 4 - The downloaded file will show up like this on the bottom of your screen.  
 
This is the button that you need to push to install the new certificate.
Step 5 - Last step, honest!  This window should pop up asking you to verify that you want this
certificate installed.  CLICK YES
*If you get a warning that the certificate did not install properly, select the button to
install properly.*

You are done.  You should not get the security window anymore till 2034

Ubuntu (ACER) Update instructions

Update Securly certificates on Netbooks (Acer laptops with Ubuntu Ubermix) using Chrome


  1. Download securly_ca_2034.crt and save it on a USB drive, then connect the USB drive to the Acer laptop.
  2. On the Acer laptop, start Chrome and go to settings
  3. Use the search bar to look up “Certificates” and open “Manage certificates
  4. Goto “Authorities” tab and click ”Import
  5. Navigate to the USB drive, select the certificate (securly_ca_2034.crt) and click Open
  6. At Certificate authority, check all 3 Trust Settings boxes to define cert scope
  7. Restart the computer and you’re done.
