Aloha Everyone,

We have a busy week ahead of us.   We are starting to build our games in the year-long class & we are getting ready to start our first 3D design project in the wheel classes.  Good fun ahead!

I also have a special invitation for you that you can find in the Space Out Friday section.

 This week:

Period 2, 4, & 5

Software Development Procedures:

  • Project Gathering - Big picture from a view of what you can build within your time constraints
  • High & Low-level breakdown - take your game apart into small buildable pieces that you can put together and construct your game
  • Development - Start building your Minimum Viable Product.  Start with the most important parts of the game first, usually the movements, gravity or physics, & sprite interactions.  Save everything else for later when these parts work well.
  • Testing - Test your game every time you make a change to the game.  Test when you add new code, music, art, backdrop, or sprite.  Test, Test, Test!
  • Deployment - Your game is ready to share with everyone and ready to enter Skoolcade!

Monday - Team Meet - In an email that you will write to yourself, include what you & your group have decided needs to get done to develop your MVP.  Once scheduled for delivery, start working on that job.   Team Meet - check-in & continue working, Keep notes of what you were able to do & where to start next time.  P5 Minute Meeting today (10 minutes) with Mrs. Freidman
