We will be using a new program to help us with writing.  Follow the steps below and take the online assessment.

• Log into Clever and open No Red Ink
• Join our class
• Start the assignment.
• When done, watch the Space Out Friday Video

Wednesday - Morning Routine

Keyboarding - 10 min - (13 on the clock)

Finish the No Red Ink assignment

The correct use of the comma is coming out of our assessment as a need.  Check out this video, then go to NRI to work on a unit about commas.

Question - Using a sentence to answer each question, answer these questions using a comma in the correct places.

1. What are 3 of your favorite foods?
2. Name 3 of your favorite people in the world.
3. Name 3 places you would like to visit.

Hi all,

Here are your plans for Wednesday.  Please show respect to your teacher, Ms. Cogswell today.  Use your time wisely. I’ll see you all Thursday. If any students come in needing tech repair, please refer them to the library for service if it cannot be handled by our tech support team. Make it a great day!

Basic Plan all Periods

1. 10 min - Daily Touch typing on Typing.com (13 min on clock) - TA or NitroType Games on Fri.
2. 4 min - Check email, personal time, catch up on missed work in this class, OR CHECK THE LESSON PLANS on Class Blog.
3. 4 min - Preview the day’s  - your time to introduce yourself -
4. P2 & 4 - Coding in Scratch - Making an animated Sprite
1. Use this screencast to get started in animating a sprite

3. Please embed your simulation into your blog with the title: Code Simulation 2

5. P5 & 6 - Coding in Scratch - Sense the Wall & more

1. Guest teacher - Students may be collaborating which is encouraged.  Or, they may be just visiting so you will need to move around the classroom and listen into conversations.  THIS IS CRUCIAL FOR GOOD CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT!!!!!
7. Done with Project - Students can do these activities when complete with project and posting on their blog.  Early finishers can go on DIY Projects - If you are here, go to Gamestarmechanic.  
8. DIY ACTIVITIES

Blogger	Modify your blogs themes, colors, and layout
Gamestarmechanic	Great game design website.  Sign in, use the year 2004 for registering, select “Get Started” until you get to the “Quest” and click on that.
Tinkercad	Create a new project or work on an old one
Finish Preparing 3D printed ID	Use tools carefully and clean up work table
Code.org	Work on another new task or finish one from last year
Scratch	Go play some games on Scratch!  When you find a game you like, look at the code used to create it

1. 1 min - Shutting down & logging out - I make all student wait at stations till all headphones, tables, and chairs are neatly arranged.  I excuse one row at a time. Do not excuse students until workspaces are clean.
1. P6 needs to put chairs up on FRIDAY!

• Write good, detailed, and readable reflections.  
• Email me if you have any question.
• Collaboration is helpful, socializing is distracting - Know why you are out of your seat and it cannot be to socialize.
