Rio Distance Learning - Last Week!

We made it!

This is an update for this last week of the 2019/2020 school year.

Please look at the following posts for information on the following:

CS Class instructions for the last week:
  • I will not be assigning any NEW work for this week
  • Finish any work you have started and POST YOUR WORK IN THIS PADLET TO GET CREDIT
  • Let me know if you have any questions.
  • I will be posting grades this week and preparing for Vista's Promotion ceremonies
  • I will host no more Google Meets for this year.  If you would like to talk about any issues, let me know via email and we can do a Meet if necessary or by phone.

Thank you all for your effort in finishing this very odd school year.  Teachers and Rio administration are working to finalize next year's school schedule that will have Distance Learning elements.

Make sure that you get yourself ready for the upcoming adventures by resting your mind and body over the summer.

I look forward to seeing you all at the beginning 2020/2021 school year!

Google Takeout - Download & Backup All Your Google Files

Hi all,

This activity is for 8th graders & students who are leaving the district.

When you leave the Rio School District, your @rioschools.org account will be deleted and all your work will also be deleted.

I have included 2 tutorials to guide you.  The first option will download your files to your computer into .zip files. This version will also allow you to save more data including your passwords from Google Chrome & more.  The second option will transfer your mail & drive files into another gmail.com account.  Both will save your files.

Read the entire post before starting

Please do this now or withing 2 weeks of the school year ending.

The tutorial above will guide you in downloading your Google Drive folder.  If you want to select other options like your Google Chrome info (including passwords), Blogger, Photos, Play, & YouTube, you'll also need to select them like the image below.

Let me know if you need any help.

There is also a second option that will allow you to upload your information into an existing gmail.com account.  Here are the instructions for this method.
