September 21 - Peace Day

Rio Vista ASB will be leading a celebration of Peace Day this Friday, 9/21.  To support their effort, I'm sharing this video with you about the origins and purpose of the day.

After watching the video, please take a moment to think about what it would mean, to have Peace One Day.  Does this effect you, your family, your neighborhood, community, country, world?

What are your thoughts, post them in the comments sections of our class blog.

Are You Ready to Build?

Hey designers,
We have started this year off well!  Blogs are looking good, grades are reflecting your participation in class and in Keyboarding practice, and our routines are starting to make sense.

So, let's get building!

Before we start building our first project, you need to get used to designing in a 3D CAD environment.  We'll be using Tinkercad this year to start with.  Here is what you need to complete in the Learn section before we start building.

In the Learn section of Tinkercad:

  • 1st-year students: Complete all Starter Projects -----------------

  • All students: Complete 2 or more Lessons -----------------------

  • All Students: Complete at least 1 Project --

I will ask you to post proof of completion later next week.

Happy Constitution Day!

Check out this website to get an up-close look at our nations constitution, the basis for the American way of life.  Click on the Constitution, then transcribe, and you'll see a version you can actually read!
Check out what you can & we'll have a brief discussion.  Feel free to bring up any driving question with either me, a classmate, or another teacher/adult!
