School Closure Week 3 - 3/30/2020

Good Day People,

Happy Spring Break!
I wish you all a peaceful 2 weeks with hopefully some healthy adventures at home.  I know it is a challenge to not go out but it is important to protect yourself and your family at this time.  I hope you don't watch too much news but instead, focus on the positive things around you.  Your family & your friends (online).

Your teacher are trying hard to give you challenges that you can accomplish at home.  I hope you understand that you need to take responsibility for your learning in this very unique place we find ourselves.  I will keep posting links that have things to do to keep you active and thinking.  Build your structure at home, your routine and follow it.  Keep your brain active as well as your body.

Remember that eventhough we are living in a world with COVID19, This Too Shall Pass!  We'll get past this and start our new normal.  Best of luck, keep emailing me, we can Hangout if you let me know, and if you need help, reach out.  Please ask.

Mr. G

Tuesday Lesson Plans

Hi all,

Here are your plans for Tuesday.  Please show respect to your teacher, Mrs. Peraza today.  Use your time wisely. I’ll see you all Wednesday. If any students come in needing tech repair, please refer them to the library for service if it is something the Tech Crew cannot fix. Make it a great day!

Basic Plan all Periods
  1. 10 min - Daily Touch typing on Typing.com (13 min on clock) - TA or NitroType Games on Fri.  AGENDAS OUT & ON DESK
  2. 4 min - Check email, personal time, catch up on missed work in this class, OR CHECK THE LESSON PLANS on Class Blog.
  3. P2 & 4 - Organize your time & 3 projects today
You will be working QUIETLY today to organize your 3 projects that will be due during Trimester 3.  The rest of Tri 2 will be spent working on these projects. You are NOT COLLABORATING TODAY - NO MOVING SEATS OR CHECKING OUT YOUR NEIGHBORS WORK.  FOCUS ON YOUR OWN WORK.
    1. Open this shared Google Sheet (I will have this open on my phone so I can see if you are on task)
    2. Fill out the information in the boxes next to your name.  Fill out ALL boxes and include links to your work.
    3. Your work on this form is worth 20 pts, no excuses!
    4. When done filling form, work on one of these projects for the rest of the period.
  1. Stay quiet and do your work.

  1. P5 & 6 -   Project ID - Designing an Identification Tag (ID Tag) for your computer case, backpack, or keys
    1. Use Tinkercad to create a unique design that will identify the case as yours.  The ID tag must have:
      1. a unique design that reflects your personality
      2. Your first name or initials
      3. Stay within the size limits found on the Project ID Syllabus.  This page is important because it give you the information you need to complete the project.
      4. Create at least 3 different designs.  You will choose your favorite to print.
      5. Project due date is January 18
    2. Get started and I will explain more on Wednesday.

  1. 35 min - Work on projects - detailed above
    1. Guest teacher - Students may be collaborating which is encouraged.  Or, they may be just visiting so you will need to move around the classroom and listen into conversations.  THIS IS CRUCIAL FOR GOOD CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT!!!!!
  2. Done with Project - Students can do these activities when complete with project and posting on their blog.  Early finishers can go on DIY Projects - If you are here, go to Gamestarmechanic.
  3. DIY ACTIVITIES

    1. P6 needs to put chairs up on FRIDAY!
Reminders:
  • Write good, detailed, and readable reflections.
  • Email me if you have any question.
