RV Computer Science Week 5/31 - 6/3

Hello everyone,

I'm looking forward to being back on Wednesday.  I'll keep you updated.

Periods 2, 4, & 5 - continue working on your CSP.  If you have questions, please email me.  I will try to respond quickly.  Do what you can.  Build your presentations. I'll include a guide to your what I'm looking for.  Keep a daily journal!


Periods 6 & 7 - You will be working on Project STEM for part of the week.  After that, you will work in Scratch.  Have fun!

Monday - CSP - Memorial Day

Tuesday - CSP - May Keyboarding Test -  take 2 - 3 minute typing tests.  Post a screenshot of the graph and tests on your blog.  Write a reflection about your progress. Last one of this school year.  How did you finish up?

What's Up Post - Write about any subject you want.  If you are stuck, try this: How was your long weekend? or What do you want to do this summer? 

Wednesday  CSP - Continue to finish your Community Service Project 

Sign up for classroom presentations starting Friday

Thursday -  CSP - Continue to finish your Community Service Project 

Friday - CSP - Classroom presentations 

Period 5 - 7th grade only - take this survey

When you finish:   

  1. Update your blog - Some students are taking control of their blog to post about things that they want to talk about.  For example,  anime & fandom pieces, food & recipes, animals, places you want to visit, or your fears of the world.
  2. Redesign your blog - make your blog a thing of beautifying by updating themes, colors, images, & layouts.
  3. Scratch - start or continue working on your own project
  4. 3D Design - Design something to solve a problem, create something new, or make a gift
  5. Rolling Drones.  FRIDAY ONLY - Get with a drone leader in your class to get started.
  6. 3D Design Challenge - Make a better door stop

Wednesday Project STEM -  Lesson - 1.2 ABC - Animate Your Name - Post your animation in our Scratch Studio when you are done.

Thursday  Project STEM  - Finish 1.2 and post your animated name in our Studio

Friday  Project STEM - Lesson 1.3 - ABC - Coordinate Grid Soccer Kick
