We are back to work for 3 weeks. Winter Break starts on 12/19 at 3:20 pm so make the most of your time while you are here. Keep up with your work, get the help you need, and finish this year with nothing left undone. That is a proactive way of thinking.
Are we having a Winter Holiday Party? In your classes, discuss if you would like to do something special with your class on Thursday, 12/18. I'm thinking Secret Santa, Pot Luck, White Elephant Gift Exchange, or something else.

Monday - Morning Routine
Winter Holiday Project - Create an ornament or similar object that represents how you celebrate the Winter Holidays. Think about your family traditions, how your family decorates the home, and the significance of this holiday to your family.
Software - Tinkercad or Fusion 360, drawing program, tablets(if needed)
Hardware - 3D printers, laser cutter
Materials - Plastic filament, wood, acrylic
Due Date - Finished Product Due the week of 12/15. The finished product should be ready to use at home. Full reporting on the process to create this is due in your portfolio, including photos.
Portfolios - You are responsible for finishing your portfolios within the next two weeks. This can be done at home. Below is the list of tasks
- Purpose - to show what you know - a platform to organize your best work so you can present it to others who want to know
- Reflection - a critical account of your work by you - reflections allow you to analyze your thinking and your processes. A very important skill, especially when things don't go as planned or when they go extremely well.
- Organization - How easy will it be to find the information you want to communicate?
- Customization - This relates to the look and feel of your website. This is business. It should have a feel that you want to project to others, colorful, minimalistic, homey, creative, ...
