  Hello Everyone!

Happy May Day & Spirit Week.  Enjoy your friends and your teachers.  We will be on block schedule next week for CAASPP testing.  Make sure to get good rest, be here every day, and eat a good breakfast.  

This week, I'll be getting all your grades in for progress reports. Make sure to have your portfolios updated and looking good.

RV Computer Science, Robotics, & ELD Week 4/24 - 28/2023

  Hello Everyone!

I'm glad you are all here.  

In two weeks, we'll be starting our state testing, the Smarter Balanced Assessments.  We'll be switching to a block schedule.  More info to come.

Periods 2, 3, & 5, you will have the homework over the next couple of weeks.  

Assignment - Finish & show your digital portfolio to your parents & family.

  • Provide proof of them seeing your portfolio by taking a picture of them looking at your portfolio.
  • Post this image and write a reflection explaining what they thought about your work and about what you had to do to help them understand your work.

Period 2 - Computer Science

Monday - Morning Routine

  1. Finish your 3D design
  2. In Tinkercad, check with Mr. G for verification of completion
  3. Export & upload to Astroprint and slice with appropriate settings
  4. Wait your turn to print
  5. If your design fails to meet the requirements or solve the problem, modify your design & check with Garcia before reprinting.
  6. Make a new post in your portfolio titled: 3D Modeling & Manufacturing
    1. include an image of your design from Tinkercad & one image of the finished product
    2. Include in the reflection: 
      1. What is this, 
      2. how did you make it, 
      3. how much did this cost to make,
      4. did it meet the requirements and solve the problem, 
      5. and how do you feel about it?
  7. When done, you can:
    1. Assist another designer
    2. build another 3D model

Complete a full reflection about the project. You can use the information on the syllabus to develop your rubric.  Include a picture of your model.  When your print is finished, record and upload a video of you describing your project and how it came out.  Include the good, the bad, and the unexpected.
