1 min - Shutting down & logging out - I make all student wait at stations till all headphones, tables, and chairs are neatly arranged. I excuse one row at a time. Do not excuse students until workspaces are clean.
- P6 needs to put chairs up on FRIDAY!
Reminders:
- Write good, detailed, and readable reflections.
- Email me if you have any question.
- Collaboration is helpful, socializing is distracting - Know why you are out of your seat and it cannot be to socialize.
I wish you all a good day. See you Thursday!
Mr. Garcia
FYI - Discipline Procedures
For discipline, I give the students 3 warnings:
- Verbal - The first is just a warning.
- Verbal & other - The second can be a just another warning, but usually I remove them from the project and talk to them. If serious, I have them write me a letter explaining the reason for their disruptive behavior. If the letter is sincere, they can return to the activity. If the student does not take responsibility or the distraction is severe or not corrected after the second warning, Go to third warning below.
- Make a comment in the student agenda in two places. 1. On the grid, with in the date in the infraction column, 2. You can make a brief comment in the notes area. If the student shows no change, write an Office Referral note (blue) and send them to the office. All actions will include their handwritten note to parents explaining why they lost their tech privilege and how they will correct it. Computer privileges are not restored until the note is signed and returned. Please notify me with some details and I will call parents immediately.
