RV Computer Science, Robotics, & ELD Week 10/9 - 13/2023

Hello Everyone!

I'm out on Monday. I'll see you all on Tuesday.

All classes will work on the same project. There are 2 tasks to finish. Get started on the third project if you have time. The instructions are below.

Keyboarding -  Keyboarding Tests Instructions:
Warm up for a few minutes
Take 2 - 1 minute tests
Look at the testing page and reflect on your growth over the past month.
Did your accuracy improve?
Did your Words Per Minute change?
Do you feel like you are starting to Touch Type (not looking at the keyboard)?
Write Mr. Garcia an email answering all three questions. Copy and paste the questions into your email.

After Your Keyboarding Test -

There are a lot of amazing things happening in Space this week. 2 of the most important are the launching of a unique satellite and the Annular Solar Eclipse.

We going to do some activities to go deeper into learning about these two special events all week long.

Do these activities in class on Monday. If you don't finish, we'll continue on Tuesday.

What is a planet made of?
Scientists believe that the inner rocky planets of our solar system have a solid metal core. That helps to explain the strong magnetism we have on Earth.

They also believe that the Asteroid Psyche may be the core of a planet that never finished forming. Check out the video below to learn about what we know about the inside of our solar system's planets.

Become a Solar Eclipse Expert

You are going to become certificated Solar Eclipse Apprentices using this online course. Upon completion, you will get a certificate proving that you have passed this course. We will do much of this in class.
