Monday -MLK Jr. Day of Service
Tuesday -Game Dev Milestone 3 - Level 1 is close to being done. I'll be checking during the week.
Sprite movement & interactions should be working and be close to complete.
Art & sound can be basic.
Counters for the first level should all be working.

Let's orient ourselves to the new year. Start off with our regular morning routine. Then we'll get started on either a new project or continue with one that you have already started.
Tuesday -Catch up with your Game Dev group. Find out where you are at and what needs to get done to move your game forward. Make notes on your GameDev Doc as needed.
Continue with your game dev. Now that all the basic movements are working, get started with making the interaction between sprites work well. That includes interactions between the main sprite and obstacles.
Start developing the art for the game
Start developing the music for different parts of the game.

Thursday - Continue - Keep going! Most of you are ready for your artwork & unique sounds. Get that first level working well so you can start on level 2.
Friday - Continue - Milestone 2 checkpoints will start next week. I'll be looking for smooth interaction between sprites and early art/music ideas.

Thursday -Take some time to finish the "Place your Order" project. Try out some different codes to make your scanner work better. When you are done, post an entry & image/video on your website portfolio. Start on Project Out of Order
Tuesday - Welcome back. We'll be learning in ILit this week. You will have assignments to complete and a story to read. We'll also be working on learning new vocabulary. We'll be working on this for the rest of the week.

Question - Pretend that you can fly whenever you wanted. Where would you go?
Thursday -Keep working on your ILit assignments the best you can. If you run into questions, help each other out with the vocabulary, the reading, and the questions about the reading.
If you are stuck or done, here are some extra activities you can work on.
Thursday - Project ID - continue to work on your Project ID. As you are designing, use your ruler to check the size of your design. Remember to make it personal to you!
This is the last school week of 2022! What a year. Let's have some fun and get some work wrapped up before we leave on break.
A couple of reminders:
Student computer return is by Wednesday. All your teachers know to not give any tech homework after Wednesday. You will be taking your device to class every day but leaving it in your homeroom at night.
Milestone 1 Due by Thursday - At this point, you should have a working game with almost no art.
Movement and sprite interaction should be working without any glitches.
A working start and end page - does not have to be finished, just working
A working title for your game. This can be updated later
Updated notes that will help any one of your team who wants to work on this project over the break

We are wrapping up the Invention Squad Unit. Take Monday to finish up each unit & Tuesday to catch up on your reflections on your website. On Tuesday we will start the Design for Someone task. Help your partner out so they finish too.

Start coding your game by writing down in your doc what the start of the game will look like, what the game will look like, what reaching the goal will look like, & what switching to either an end-of-game or next-level will look like.
