Lesson Plan for Friday

Hi all,
Yes, I am out once again to help me prepare for testing. Do a good job today and get those out of sight racecars build. Know your car's dimensions!  You have a great teacher today so enjoy the new set of eyes to impress. I'll be dropping by because I'm on campus.

Basic Plan all Periods
  1. 10 min - Daily Touch typing on Typing Agent (10 min) - TA or NitroType Games on Fri.
  2. 4 min - Check email & CHECK THE LESSON PLANS.
  3. 4 min - Preview the day’s activities with class -
    1. P2, 5, & 6 - Friday
      1. Students are posting a “What’s Up” post on their blog.  It is a review of what they have done during the week.  Once done, they are working on designing a racecar with rolling wheels.  Here is the screencast to help get started.
    2. P4 Friday
      1. Students are posting a “What’s Up” post on their blog.  It is a review of what they have done during the week.  All students can work on finishing their earbud holder.  You can also work on your school project if you have something you want to get done.
      2. Earbud project reminders:
        1. Is it artistic (not a box or oval with a name)
        2. Is it flat on the bed
        3. What size is it (Know the measurements and about how big in will be in your hand)

      6. SALT - Prepare your kits, look over scripts
      7. Aerial art - Add your names and emails to the letter.  Send to dmainzer, mklinefelter, amendez & agarcia. Don’t forget the @rioschools.org part.  Do not expect a quick response, they are very busy.  Start working on your own idea for a design.
      8. Skoolcade Crew -  Look over the name logo’s on this doc.  Screenshot your favorite and put it on your shared doc.
      9. 35 min - Work on projects - detailed above
    3. Guest teacher - Students may be collaborating which is encouraged.  Or, they maybe just visiting so you will need to move around the classroom and listen into conversations.  THIS IS CRUCIAL FOR GOOD CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT!!!!!

Axiom Printing All Night Long at RVMS

49 hour Print Fails on Hour 43!:(

After a valiant attempt by two students to save the print, the alignment was off and the print could not be saved.  Even on an amazing printer like the Airwolf Axiom, 3D printing needs to have operators that can watch, adjust, and attend to issues as they pop up.  As we learned, there can be problems at any time.
